What is the challenge?
In Aha! Roadmaps, Custom roadmaps hide completely empty outer groups, but show empty subgroups when their outer group contains at least one row.
For example: When grouping by Objective > Initiative, a Custom roadmap will show Initiatives without child records. Removing the outer Objective grouping will hide those Initiatives.
Switching the same Custom roadmap to a list or pivot report makes the missing rows reappear.
What is the impact?
Customers cannot easily tell whether records are missing because of filters, grouping order, or the selected report view.
Product managers must change views to verify completeness, reducing confidence in roadmaps shared with stakeholders.
Describe your idea.
Show empty groups consistently, regardless of grouping order.
Preserve the same eligible records when switching between custom roadmap, list, and pivot views with unchanged filters.
Let users explicitly choose whether to hide empty groups, with that choice applied consistently across grouping levels.
