Add Attachment when Editing Someone Else's Existing Idea

What is the challenge?

• We have an internal-facing Ideas portal, and we create Ideas on behalf of folks who do not have an Aha user account. Sometimes we ask those folks for more information, and when they go to the portal to edit the Idea, they are not able to attach a file; only the person who created the Idea can attach a file. Other folks can only attach a file by adding a comment.

What is the impact?

• Folks think they cannot add a file to an existing Idea, so additional information is not provided.

• Folks will send the file to the person with Aha access so they can attach it from the Aha Idea. This causes delays and extra work.

• The file is attached in a comment, where it can be missed when someone is reviewing the ticket.

Describe your idea.

• If someone is able to edit an Idea via the Idea portal, there should be an "Attach files" option just below the description area. This option is already available, but only for the person who created the Idea.
