MCP support for idea created by user, votes, subscriptions

What is the challenge?

• An internal AI assistant we are building needs to create and vote on ideas on behalf of users through an MCP connection, while capturing which portal user submitted or voted on each idea. Today the MCP server does not support setting the created by user on the idea or votes like the REST API does.

What is the impact?

• Without support for user attribution on ideas, votes, and subscriptions, users may not receive notifications about updates to ideas submitted or voted on through the assistant. And we can not track which customer it is related to.

Describe your idea.

• Enable MCP tools to create ideas and add votes on behalf of a specified portal user or Aha! user.

• Support subscribing portal users to ideas through MCP so they can receive notifications about idea updates.
