Support shared fields across multiple tabs in a custom layout and/or allow expanding/contracting field sections

What is the challenge?

• Our KPI field is currently displayed on the Overview tab, while additional KPI-related details are located on a separate custom tab to keep the Overview tab streamlined and easy to consume.

What is the impact?

• Users who need to review both the KPI and its supporting details must repeatedly navigate between tabs. This creates additional clicks, slows down the review process, and makes it more difficult to view KPI information in context.

Describe your idea.

• I would like the ability to display the same field (KPI) on both the Overview tab and a custom tab. Since both placements would reference the same underlying field, any updates made in one location would automatically be reflected in the other. This approach would provide two key benefits:

  • The Overview tab would remain clean and focused for the broader team.

  • Users who need deeper KPI context could review the KPI and its supporting details together without switching between tabs.

• Another path with a similar result would be to allow for nesting fields under a parent field with the ability to expand or collapse the section. For example, KPI detail fields could be nested under a parent KPI field and collapsed by default. This would maintain a clean user experience for most users while still allowing those who need additional context to easily expand and view the related details.
