Default assignee (1) and watchers (n) by ideas category

What is the challenge?

• We have approx. 160 workspaces and each workspace has a minimum of 10 categories (up to 100 categories)

• Each category has a dedicated assignee, which we would like to add as a default assignee for the respective category. In addition, each category has multiple watchers (n) that we would also like to define as default watchers for the respective category

• If we use automation rules for assigning an assignee for each of these categories, we would need to add a minimum of 1,600 automation rules.

• In addition, we would like to create automation rules for notifying the category assignee each time a new idea has been submitted to their category (this email notification contains more info on next steps) --> meaning another 1,600 automation rules would need to be created

What is the impact?

• If we would have the option to set default assignees not only on workspace level, but on category level as well as watchers on category level, we could save an enormous amount of time for creating the (min.) 3,200 automation rules and any future changes to category assignees/watchers could could be managed directly within the category settings, without requiring updates to automation rules.
