Add bulk comment capability to bulk edit

What is the challenge?

• Aha!'s bulk edit feature allows batch updates to fields (status, assignee, tags, etc.), but does not support adding a comment in bulk. When a change needs to be communicated or documented across multiple records at once — for example, a status change explanation, a migration notice, or a standardization update — each record must be opened individually to add that comment.

• This becomes especially time-consuming at scale, when the number of records needing a shared update is large (dozens), turning what should be a single action into a repetitive manual task.

What is the impact?

• Time cost scales linearly with the number of records, which discourages proactive communication and documentation on bulk changes — teams may skip adding context altogether rather than update each record individually.

• Creates inconsistency risk: when comments are added one at a time, wording can drift slightly across records, making it harder to search for or filter on a consistent explanation later.

• Undermines confidence in bulk actions generally — if a team knows they'll have to follow up individually anyway, the value of bulk edit as a time-saver is reduced.

Describe your idea.

• Add "Add Comment" as an available action within the existing bulk edit workflow, alongside the current field-update options.

• The comment field would accept a single text entry that gets appended as a new comment to every selected record, using the same interface pattern as bulk field updates (select records → choose action → enter value → apply).

• This would let teams pair a bulk field change with an explanatory comment in one motion, rather than as two separate processes.

Note: I'm submitting this idea for features but it's equally applicable to bulk edit of other record types like initiatives (we have nearly 100 at the enterprise planning level of our hierarchy), epics, and to-dos.
