As soon as anyone uses any text color (and some text highlights) in the description of a story, it becomes less readable or entirely unreadable in dark mode. Case in point - this very ideas portal form's headers in dark blue are very hard to read right now - it's dark blue on very dark grey.
Having to either switch to light mode or highlight the changed text or revert the text color to be able to read the highlighted text - which defeats the purpose, since often the color chosen has meaning and is intended to convey emphasis or importance.
Do what just about every other application does that offers dark mode - invert the color applied so that it's actually readable in dark mode. (I selected "Features" for this idea, but it really belongs to a category of UI or Usability, neither of which existed in the category drop down. It applies to anywhere that text can be entered and styled by the user where the dark theme can be selected.)
