Include Idea Category as a filterable field within the History changes reporting dataset

What is the challenge?

• When building reports using Idea History, many changes are visible; however, Idea Category is not exposed as a selectable filter in the History changes dataset.

What is the impact?

• There is currently no reporting‑level way to filter or analyze ideas based on category changes over time. Users must manually open individual idea records to confirm category changes, which does not scale.

Describe your idea.

• Expose Idea Category as a filterable field within the History changes reporting dataset, and a reportable change type (e.g., “Category changed from X to Y”).

• This would allow users to:

  • Filter history changes for ideas that moved into or out of specific categories (e.g., Marketing AI)

  • Analyze category shifts over time across multiple ideas

  • Improve visibility, governance, and reporting accuracy
