Extend linked record detail in reporting

What is the challenge?

• Linked records related to linked records (via record links and connected records) cannot be easily surfaced or reused across reports and views due to data model limitations. For example, if I build a view with the hierarchy below, I cannot pull in the linked feature's initiative name.

What is the impact?

• This limits our ability to create comprehensive, trustworthy reports and views that show full context across related work items, forcing manual workarounds and increasing the risk of misaligned decisions.

Describe your idea.

• Extend the reporting data model so that fields from records linked via record links and connected records (for example, an initiative linked to a feature) can be selected as columns, filters, and groupings in any report or view that includes the primary record.
