What is the challenge?
We have some resources whose capacity get split across 2 teams - one team is product engineering, the other is project delivery. There is development work in both teams but from a planning perspective a developer may be split 60/40 % over product and projects respectively.
Aha allows us to do that (put the same person in 2 teams), however their availability in each cannot be independently managed.
What is the impact?
Impact is that each team cannot accurately plan and burn down independently based on the true available capacity. All the metrics around planning and burn down are skewed.
Describe your idea
In the context of a team it would be useful to be able to optionally manage an individual schedule within the context of a team.
So given individual A who is doing work both in TeamB and TeamC: A works Monday to Friday for 8 hours/day but that capacity may be split such that they work in TeamB on Monday and Tuesday but TeamC Wednesday through Friday. Or they may be available 4 hours/day in TeamB and 4 hours/day in TeamC.
