Improve the standard Aha! Knowledge document templates for placeholder/instructional text

What is the challenge?

The content for the standard Aha! Knowledge document templates are great. Where there's instructional text, this is actual text content that needs to be changed after a template is selected. It is also light-grey which makes it harder to read and I need to adjust the default font colour for this to black.

What is the impact?

Hard to read light-grey text for default "placeholder/instructional text"

Need to adjust a standard Aha! template if I want to make format changes such as font colour changes and use this as a workspace template.

Describe your idea

  • Confluence has placeholder text component that is removed when you click into a section. Adopt a similar feature for placeholder/instructional text on document templates

  • Improve the standard font colour to black for placeholder text in document templates

I would like it in both. Primarily I would like it in the out of the box templates, then I may not have to create my own.

Thanks for sharing this idea, @Guest! Would you want to use this primarily on the out-of-the-box Aha! document templates, or are you also creating your own templates where you would want to use placeholder text?

The placeholder text should be grey and in italics to show it is instructional text, but once a user starts typing, the font should default to black for the actual text replacing the instructional text.
