In both the Feature Workflow board and the Ideas Board, teams that use a shared Status workflow may not all utilize every status. During some key planning exercises, not all statuses may be required or pertinent. |

This is a hindrance for us as well, for this exact reason - we are trying to encourage teams to standardize on fewer workflows for aggregate reporting and the like. Which means, sometimes teams are gonna have extra statuses in their workflows that they never use. Being able to hide columns would save those teams a ton of screen real estate. Implementing this idea would give us the the global standardization of data the organization needs, AND the local tailoring of view our teams need to work effectively and efficiently.
Our teams are encountering the same issue as well. It would be great if they could filter out statuses they want to see on the board. Yes, they can visualize it using a pivot report, but that is essentially read only. Teams need the ability to create and manage Ideas in a customized view so as not to need multiple tabs.
