Our scenario: We run a quarterly planning process that utilizes the prioritization tool to rank the work being considered in the quarter. These values are transferred into a custom number field so we can report on the rank and transfer it into Jira for reporting in that tool. Once planning is completed, and the final set of work items are selected, the rank of the remaining items is transferred to another custom number field.
We re-use the same planning and final rank custom field from quarter to quarter, so it's important to be able to clear them as we enter each planning cycle. Lacking the ability to do this in bulk make the process much more time consuming.
