Enable the AI assistant to read and embed attachments

What is the challenge?

  • Using the AI Assistant for release notes has potential to greatly increase efficiency for PMs.

  • A current manual step in the release note process is to embed screenshots that support the documentation, to make the content maximally understandable to customers and increase adoption of new features.

  • It would reduce the required manual intervention if the AI Assistant were able to pull screenshots that have been attached to the record and embed them directly into the release notes.

What is the impact?

  • PMs do not have to manually capture and embed screenshots after release notes are created.

Describe your idea

  • Enable the AI assistant to read a file attached to a record (or to a specific field on the record, e.g. a "Release Note Screenshots" note-type field that can store attachments) and embed it into release notes alongside the written text it is pulling from that same record.

  • Attach files

To add to this idea (though this may be a separate enhancement), it would greatly increase efficiency if the AI Assistant were able to read and extract content from more record types, specifically .pptx files. Use case: we have previous documentation stored in .pptx files that we would like to "import" into Aha! without having to manually copy and paste. The assistant today is not able to access or extract the text directly; it must be copied/pasted or shared via screenshots, so there is still a layer of manual work required.

Enabling this capability would allow us to quickly pull product strategy documentation into Aha! and ensure it is our single source of truth.
