Automatically hide merged ideas in portal (option to hide tab or an automation)

What is the challenge?

i do not want customers to see merged ideas in the portal.

it is possible to hide merged ideas in the portal, but not in an automated way. i either have to a) pull a report of all merged ideas, and make sure the portal visibility is set to "not visible" or b) update the visibility on each individual merged idea

What is the impact?

we do a lot of merging as part of some cleanup workflows, so customers will be confused when they look through merged ideas in the portal tab.
