AI-improved idea submission in ideas portals
What is the challenge? |
Customers/Stakeholders are submitting ideas with minimal information leaving product managers to have to reach out to get more information in order to assess the idea further. We can extend the form to include required fields, but this can be a barrier to entry for our submitters if they feel the submission process is too complicated. We would like an easy way to prompt them to provide the information needed without tons of fields and a complicated process. |
What is the impact? |
With more complete and informative ideas, we would have less back and forth with the submitter. More quality idea data leads to a simplified review and prioritization process, saving hours of work. |
Describe your idea |
Ideally, ideas could be run by an AI prompt generated by inputs from the product manager. The data submitted through the AI interface could then be parsed into relevant ideas fields automatically so that data is normalized across ideas inside Aha! |

Forget the typical input form to be filled out by the human contributor. Have your "friendly" trained AI agent have an expansive conversation with the submitter, while knowing the fields that need to be completed. The AI agent becomes a thought partner in this process, to potentially collaboratively upgrade/expand the idea in real time. The text and/or voice conversation and artifacts allow the agent to complete the form that becomes the input to the next stage.
If the AI could also suggest that their IDEA looks similar to other IDEAS, that would be even better. It would help reduce duplication of IDEAS at source and help existing ideas get votes.
This is huge. Having AI read the submitter's input then produce a quality output saves a ton of time and effort.
