What is the challenge? |
Idea categories are commonly used as a trigger for an automation - for example, assign idea to a specific Aha! user based on the idea category. When you use the categories field in an automation, the hierarchy of categories is not respected. Instead it shows as a flat list and subcategories are not shown grouped by their parent category. |
What is the impact? |
Makes it difficult for users to be confident they are selecting the proper subcategory to trigger an automation. Some use cases have subcategories with similar names("Product X - API", "Product Y - API" for example). Not seeing the parent category makes it near impossible to assure I select the proper subcategory. |
