Automation: updated linked features and initiatives fields based on goal fields when linked to a goal

What is the challenge?

We need to represent goal information on related initiatives and features that can then been synced with Jira integration to be available in Jira epics, etc.

What is the impact?

Our engineering team using Jira for execution planning and tracking. They need to be able to see what goals, goal owner, goal date and other key information on their Jira tickets to understand how their work ties up to company goals. They also need this goal information in Jira to report and filter on to understand what work is planned or completed for a given goal or owner.

Describe your idea

While this is just one use case, there are several where the need to update a related record's fields based on the main record when they are linked. We need to be able to build automation rules that trigger when a feature or initiative is linked to a goal and for the action to be to updated related record's fields to values in goal fields. E.g. update feature custom user field "Related Goal DRI (owner)" to same value as the goal's custom user field "Goal DRI" when the records are linked. We need this for custom user fields, custom choice fields, custom date fields, etc.
