Allow slide-in to come from left when item clicked would be covered

What is the challenge?

Trying to make a bunch of changes in parking lot items, and the slide-in covers them, so you have to manually close the slide-in before you can click another story

What is the impact?

Wasted effort/time when working on parking lot. When working on items in release columns it's not a problem, as long as the items are far enough to the left on the screen

Describe your idea

Somehow calculate the position on screen of the selected item, and if it's in the right-hand 50% of the screen, slide-in the detail view from the left instead of the right.
