What is the challenge? |
As an extensive user of whiteboards, I would like to create whiteboard objects using specific colours so that I can implement different colour codes for different purposes. For example, arrows always come out in Wizard Blue (#0073CF) by default. I would like arrows to be grey by default to denote a basic relationship, and be able to apply other colours for arrows to signify more specific things. The Aha! Knowledge Base only specifies how to customise colours for objects in whiteboards. |
What is the impact? |
I usually have to edit the colour of arrows and other objects every time I create a new one. It can be a lot of clicks, especially since I use whiteboards on a daily basis for most of my work. The default colour of arrows cannot be changed. For example, arrows/connectors always come out in Wizard Blue (#0073CF) and adopt a specific width. The formatting for new arrows also does not replicate the previous custom formatting for arrows, like it might for other objects. |
Describe your idea |
Nice to have: Creating templates that enable default colours for a range of objects, rather than just custom colours. As a nice to have, it would also be useful to set specific formatting templates for the most commonly used objects. Whiteboards will remember the formatting options for the last object that was created. This is quite useful! However, template colours for objects would be a nice-to-have addition to the existing set of great features in Whiteboards. |
