Sometimes as PMs we have to pick up a laundry list of "requirements" others have begun in spreadsheets and lists. I need a way to efficiently import that, so I can use Aha's robust tools to properly organize the mess into rational features and epics. Currently, there is no independent Requirements upload capability. Aha's CSV import for Features does permit adding Requirements, but there are two difficulties with this:
The format is not normalized. Requirements have to be added on the same row as the Feature they belong to, adding columns for each subsequent requirement. It's challenging to convert any existing data to this format, particularly if importing more than 1 field (i.e. if importing anything in addition to requirement name), without using a script which may be out of reach for many users.
More critically, there are only a few requirements fields that are valid to upload. We especially need custom fields to be included.
Summary: Please create a separate Requirements upload (allow Requirements to be a choice in the record type to import), and format the CSV template with columns for Feature, Requirement, and all requirement fields (including any custom fields) so that the requirements are uploaded one per row.
