Convert the results of the capacity report into another UOM or allow export of capacity report data

What is the challenge?

The capacity report is great at showing your team's and/or user's capacity month by month, and highlighting any capacity conflicts. However, you sometimes want to view your capacity in different ways.

For example the report tells me that we are 160hrs over capacity in June. I want to know how many people we need to fill that capacity. Our team members work 160hrs a month, so I know we need 1 person to finish the work on time.

You can create a pivot that converts your estimates into costs, hours or people, but it only shows you the estimates. It does not provide capacity related insights.

What is the impact?

You need to enter multiple forms of estimates across separate scenarios to see different versions of your plan. These are not in sync and it is a manual effort to enter and manage these.

Describe your idea

It would be great if you could either:

1. Convert the results of the capacity report into another unit and have it still show capacity conflicts on the report. For example, convert an hourly estimate into FTEs (people).

or

2. Allow you to export all the values calculated by the capacity report so you can perform your own calculations and report on these metrics elsewhere.
