Adding cards to a whiteboard - position of pasted record

If there’s no cursor positioned inside the browser window, for example, when I switch from another window using Cmd+`, pasting the item URL creates a card at the right edge of the screen, which is very inconvenient. It works somewhat differently case by case, but most of the time the card ends up there and I have to manually drag it back.
