Portal Report extracts are not possible
What is the challenge? |
A portal user can use a published report on the portal to analyse ideas. This is a visual report only and users may want to process the data or distribute the data to managers that are not portal users |
What is the impact? |
Two modes are available to externalise the data available from a report. Screenshot or cut and paste from the report output or contacting Aha! Admins to produce an extract using the application itself which is an overhead |

Having reports available on the portal is partially useful but enabling a share function that is limited to production of PDF or CSV would be useful |

It is possible today to email a CSV of a report on a regular schedule. You can find this option in Aha! on the report menu Share > Email schedule. With this option available, we are unlikely to allow exporting a report from the ideas portal as well. But we will keep tracking this idea to see if other product teams need this too.

Its great that a CSV can be scheduled but the CSV content has to be predefined to accommodate every possible query case. Its bizarre to me (where other applications enable a download option) that Aha! has not embraced the fact that i might want to publish as a web page (with filters) and then i can not download the content !! Not happy with a response that just tells the user what is there which does not fulfil the use case defined
