What is the challenge? |
Replatforming an existing knowledge base to Aha! requires editing all intra-knowledge base hyperlinks since part of the published Aha! document's URL is systematically assigned and not controlled by the document author. |
What is the impact? |
Lots of tedious work. |
Describe your idea |
Enable designation of a custom slug for a published document. |
Thanks David! I'm not sure exactly how your links are set up, but this might help – we recently added some options to customize the URL slugs in a KB. There are two places you can customize slugs:
You can specify a custom slug for individual documents and folders in the Overview tab at the bottom. Your customized slug will be used in the URL path, as highlighted in my screenshot below. (Note that you can exclude the page ID number in links, and it will still open as long as the rest of the path is correct)
In the Knowledge base settings > Branding tab, you can set a custom domain and custom slug for the KB itself.
Take a look and let me know if this isn't what you needed!
