What is the challenge? |
I have an internal ideas portal for my employees to add proxy votes, and I also have a customer ideas portal in the same workspace. My employees in the internal portal can see all the customer ideas, but they cannot see who they were submitted by because the customers are not portal users in the internal portal. The customers should not be users in the internal portal for obvious reasons! My employees want an easy way to know who submitted an idea and what organization they are a part of. |
What is the impact? |
Hard for my employees to understand what customer submitted the ideas they see in the portal. Instead, they need to have access to Aha! and look in Aha! to see these details about an idea. |
Describe your idea |
Give employee portal users access to see the submitted by user for every idea in their portal regardless of if they are a portal user in that portal. Would also be helpful for employees to see the organization who submitted the idea as well. |
A new option is now available in Portal settings > Users > Employees. You can enable your employee portal users to view the names of all portal users across all portals, including unverified portal users. They will be able to see who created an idea, comment, or proxy vote, and who was mentioned in a comment from any portal. Leave this disabled for the highest level of privacy to prevent user names from one portal being shown in another.
