Fields not kept in-sync for merged ideas
What is the challenge? |
When I merge 2 ideas, one idea may have a custom field populated (i.e. Escalated). When the original idea is merged with the new idea, that field is not populated on the new idea. |
What is the impact? |
I like merging ideas because it helps keep our ideas portal clean, but I'm losing valuable data on ideas. Therefore, I have to build reports to find all original ideas that were escalated, then find the idea that it was merged into and then update that field on the new idea. |

When I merge two ideas, let me choose which fields get synced to the new idea or automatically update the new idea with the original idea's values. |

Another issue that we're running into is that we have a custom field on an idea proxy vote. When the original idea is merged into the new idea, we're unable to view the proxy-votes from the original idea and it's custom fields. This makes it challenging when reporting.
