Multi-language support in KBs

What is the challenge?

Non-English speaking users need to access content in a KB. Currently a separate KB must be generated in each applicable language.

How would you solve it?

Provide KB translation.

What impact would it make?

Allow non-English speakers to access content in a KB without maintaining separate KBs.

I would take a look at how Doc360 handles this. They provide a very nice UX for managing multiple languages in their KB. They integrate with a machine learning translation tool that gives you a first draft you can modify from. While yes, it is not perfect, it has actually improved accuracy greatly in the past year so much so that we do not hire translators anymore.

This is the only missing feature preventing me from switching from Doc360 to Aha Knowledge for customer-facing KB.

    Provide KB translation.

Automated translation is likely not ideal--at least if it's not optional.

Instead or in addition, provide an option to manage editions of a document in each of multiple languages, and then all of an article's editions are published whenever the article is published and there's a KB-level setting for the default language and a user-level setting for preferred language.

Important to account for right-to-left scripts
