How should it work? |
In using the new Now, Next, Later Roadmap, here's some feedback:
Its appearance is bland. I'd expect more control of the card layout, similar to workspaces, with field selection, etc.. This includes hiding the Aha! ID as that may not matter to some (us). To have that ID take up one of two available rows on the card is a little heavy. Do we really need to see that ID so prominently considering there's much more value in seeing other fields (e.g. phase, status, owner, etc.) This also includes having some color splashes and black text vs. lighter gray.
The controls seem to be pretty buggy. Adding filters, updating timeframes for rolling values, etc. seem to not be sticky and you can get into odd usability bugs pretty easily. For example, go to change rolling from 30 to 60 days for the first column, then try to set the second column to 90 or 120. All sorts of weirdness.

Hi @Guest
Thank you for your feedback. Great news – card customization on the Now, Next, Later roadmap is coming soon. If you have not yet, you can vote on this idea to be notified when it ships: https://big.ideas.aha.io/ideas/A-I-16135
As for the controls, our Customer Success team will be reaching out directly to get some additional information on what you are seeing and to help out.
+1 to 'colour by' and card customisation to show important custom fields like product component, market, team etc... the usual stuff we're all doing. We'd also like to be able to see record links in some way. Converting pivot reports to whiteboards allows the user to show dependency lines. Something similar here would be great. Or a pop-up like the custom roadmap.
I created another idea to be able to group by goal and custom field but worth mentioning again here. Aha! is a "goal first" organisation. Seems odd not to be able to group your roadmap work by goal.
Completely agree! Card customization is a must.
Also the lack of any type of visual configuration seems odd, we are unable to change the colour/theme of the report.
Seems strange when nearly every other report in Aha! supports this.
I feel like this is a great step, but fundamental issues need to be addressed to actually make it useful.
I whole heartedly agree with this. First off, a big thank you for releasing this now/next/later roadmap as we have been needing this for quite awhile. However, I feel like it is not ready for us to use until we can 1) absolutely get rid of the prefix as that just causes confusion, not to mention taking up too much space there and 2) customize colors. Optionally, it would be great to also group by parent record (all features by epic, all epics by initiative)
agree with both points made here... adding filters in this view is still MVP (IMO). Valuable, but not ready for standardizing our communications at the enterprise level. We fund work by initiative, spanning multiple workspaces. Being able to show by Product Line by Initiative would benefit our teams. It would be very helpful to control card contents, color pallets, and drill to details.
