Allow selection of which dashboard filters to use, instead of just on/off "use dashboard filters"

Who would benefit?

Anyone merging information from different workspaces, timeframes, or other categories of data.

What impact would it make?

Allows one dashboard to be more flexible for multiple use cases.

How should it work?

Instead of a single checkbox for the panel to use dashboard filters or not, make it a dropdown of the active dashboard filters where I can multiselect which filters I want the panel to respond to. If I leave a dashboard filter unchecked, the panel report will use the filter saved on the report itself.

Here's my specific use case: I want dashboard filters for Workspace and Timeframe. I want all the panels to use the dashboard Timeframe filter, so that I don't have to manually update the timeframe each quarter (or so that a user could choose to look forward or back a quarter if they wish). But I want two of the panels to use the underlying report filter for workspace, so that they always show the Company level strategy. The third panel should use the dashboard filter for Workspace. The end result is a dashboard for strategy that shows the company strategy (first two panels) above the particular user's team or department strategy (bottom panel), all panels for the selected Timeframe.

Thank you for your idea. I did want to point out that the dashboard filters will only impact the same filter in the report. So if you have, for example, Workspace name and Status...the dashboard filter will drive the workspace name filter and then use the report's status filter in addition.

Is your use case that you have multiple dashboard filters and for some reports you want one to use the dashboard filter and others not to? Thanks!
