How should it work? |
1 - I wanted to circle back on the comment feature. The issue is not that the comment option is not there, rather that I cannot email comments to the new Created By user, when I set the created by user = an Aha user (not a portal user).
To that regard – I wanted to clarify the scenario a bit more. We receive ‘requests’ via email, pings outside the portal. I capture these by entering them in the portal.
Our program has ~375 users that we have set up as Aha users/reviewers in our portfolio. However, my understanding is, these users are not ‘portal users’ until they login to the portal (a record is automatically created through our SSO integration). So, if a user has not logged into the portal, they don’t have a portal user record, but we still want to communicate with them via the ideas I create on their behalf (as Aha users).
So the core issue is – if we are setting the created by user as an Aha user (vs a portal user) they have an email associated with their Aha user account, and we should be able to email them comments via the idea record. I am very confident this has nothing to do with notification settings at the user level. |
We will keep this idea open and see if there is a way to make this more intuitive.
Hi @Guest,
When the idea creator is an Aha! user, there are two ways you could send comments to them:
Also add them as a watcher on the idea. Then they will automatically get Aha! notifications for any change to the idea, including comments.
@mention them in the comment. They will automatically get an Aha! notification about the comment and any other new comments.
