Who would benefit? |
Anyone looking for a specific kind of link or document. |
What impact would it make? |
It would reduce time to find documents, if you don't know the name. It would enable reporting out on specific kinds of documents. For instance, it would be possible to see where certain teams have not entered a required document to support a particular business process. |
How should it work? |
It should be a field on the Notebook tab and Research tab, where you just release the ability to add links (January 2024). In a perfect world, companies could create their own dropdown for this field, as each org may have specific requirements. Barring that possibility, a generic list of standard industry documents would do. Even better, add the ability to customize these two areas with our own custom fields (i.e. layer a custom field into an out-of-the-box table). |
Thanks for sharing this idea! One option you could try today would be to use the Tags field on documents to capture these categories, and then create a report to find certain documents or identify any documents missing the correct Tags. Here is an article with some more detail about setting up reports based on your documents: https://www.aha.io/support/suite/suite/reports/report-on-workspace-documents
Do you think that might work for you? Or are there other options that would be helpful for this workflow, especially as it relates to the Research tab? Thanks for your feedback!
