Thanks for sharing this idea! There are a few ways to quickly switch from Selection mode to Pan mode in whiteboards today. You can use the right-click on your mouse or hold the Space bar or Option key while you scroll, to switch into Pan mode to move around your document. Could you give those a try and let us know if that helps, or if you are looking for a different option?
