Ability to compute the Initial estimate of an Epic from Features estimates

Who would benefit?

All PMs who require to see Initial estimates at both Epic and Feature level but don't want them to be double counted in the "Remaining Work" of a Release.

Currently the "Features and epics" option of the Release "Use estimates from" parameter is the only way to capture estimates produced at both level. Nevertheless it is not usable since it basically sums both estimates done at Epic and Feature level

What impact would it make?

It would allow to identify which estimates to aggregate at Epic level : estimates calculated from feature estimates would be filtered out.

How should it work?

Adding at Epic level the ability to choose how Initial estimates should be filled (same as for detailed estimates):

• Enter manually

• Use features estimates

This information should then be used to filter out (from "Remaining Work" of a Release) Initial estimates at Epic level which were calculated from Feature estimates.
