Work schedule unit customization

While I know capacity is set on the work schedule as a unit per day where the daily capacity is then used to automatically calculate capacity over longer periods, it would be great to allow for the ability to input a quarterly unit (e.g. story points). This is how my organization thinks about capacity planning.
