Integrate Aha! into my daily workflow with an improved Slack integration

Integrate Aha! Roadmaps into my daily workflow with a Slack app for Aha! Roadmaps.

I've included some of my common use cases below.

  • Help me start my day

    • Daily summary

      • I do two things when I log in for work: check Slack notifications and open Aha! I want Aha!

      • I'd love to be slacked a daily summary from Aha! -- include information like to-dos due, notifications, and any other data I set as relevant (i.e. features due soon, unreviewed ideas)

  • Help me keep work in Aha!

    • To-dos

      • I'll often get a slack that should be a to-do. I want an easy way to convert someone else's request into a to-do

    • Ideas

      • Coworker shares a brilliant idea in a Slack thread discussion. I want an easy way to add it to our ideas portal.

    • Features

      • Support asks if a behavior is a bug, and I confirm that it is after discussing it with Engineering. I slack them to create a bug. This would be far easier to do from Slack.

  • Help me answer questions quickly

    • Lookup relevant data

      • Colleague shares an Aha! link with me and asks if I have the latest status update? It's likely that all I need to see is the record name. I'd love for the slack integration to lookup that data and display it.

      • There are other instances where the assignee, status, release, sprint, or custom field value would be very helpful.

  • Help me keep people updated

    • Schedule delivery to Slack

      • It's already possible to email reports and dashboards, I'd love to be able to slack snapshots of Aha! dashboards and reports to specific Slack channels

    • Improve how the messages look in Slack

      • Specify the information included in each message

      • Better format the messages to make them easy to read

    • Improve how Slack messages are triggered

      • Only show messages that contain a specific tag or match a custom field query

      • Exclude messages that aren't relevant - show me a record when the status changes, not when the description is updated
