For security reasons, we cannot have Aha! set to "allow anyone to access." Still, we need the ability to provide a seamless experience for our Executives and users to derive value from the Aha! data. We want to be able to display these in Tableau with a different security setting. Doing so will help with Enterprise-wide adoption, value recognition, and data maintenance with more eyes using the data.
When the setting is set to "allow anyone to access", then you have a security issue where anyone can see the data. If you limit the access within Aha!, then it cannot be used as a dashboard item in Tableau because credentials aren't passed.
I'm going to try a workaround and see if I embed the Aha! dashboard into a SharePoint page to see if that works. The thought is that Tableau does pass credentials to SharePoint and possibly SharePoint will pass it on to Aha!.
This would be a super nice feature to add. Tableau has cornered the market with visualizations and leverages embed code & plug ins to pull data from different sources. It would really do a lot for our rollout of Aha! if we were able to embed roadmaps in our Tableau reports that include our financials, to paint a holistic picture!
