Use Case: I have initiatives at the company level. I also have initiative at the product line level that roll up to the company level initiatives. Not all company initiatives have "child" initiatives.
There are multiple types of reports that display the records in an undesirable way. For example, I want to create a custom roadmap that shows all the initiatives in a Gantt chart and group the related initiatives (such as group by the parent initiative if one exists). The scenario where a company initiative has child initiatives displays the company initiative in a grouping column (which is good), but the parent initiative ALSO is displayed in a separate row without a parent grouping column cell value (because company initiatives CANNOT have a parent). That parent initiative with children shouldn't appear the 2nd time because it was already displayed as a group for its children.
However, we DO want to display company initiatives without children, so I can't filter out company level workspace initiatives because the company initiatives without children won't be displayed.
Currently, the workaround is to duplicate the name of the company level initiative where the initiative doesn't have children and create a "fake" child initiative that ties to it and then filter out the company workspace initiatives.
