Your software has a lot of animations - for example:
the green saving indicator that constantly pops-up when you are editing a description
if you are on an event report and click on an event, the drawer slider animation that opens up on the right.
As someone with a disability around screen motion/animations, these animations make your product very difficult for me to use. I end up feeling quite nauseous after spending anymore than 15 minutes.
Please consider adding accessibility controls in the Account Settings, including an option that would allow users to turn-off animations
Thanks for making this a11y addition. And for the tip on how to turn on the OS controls. I just went and changed mine. Looking forward to my next Aha session.
Thanks for that additional info, Natasha!
I don't think my screenshot was uploaded last time. Trying to add it again.
Hi Nathaniel,
Thanks for the follow-up. The green confirmation banner you screenshot below isn't the issue for me.
It's when I'm actively editing the description of an idea. There's an auto-save feature that flashed a green floppy disk and the word 'Saving' in the bottom right corner. I wasn't able to capture it in the screenshot b/c it's not there for long, but I've circled where it appears. If I'm editing an idea description for a while, it flashes quite frequently. I try to put a post it note on my screen to cover it, but that doesn't work the best, as as I type the description field size changes and it becomes re-revealed to me.
Thanks,
natasha
Thank you for sharing this feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the animations are giving you trouble. I'm passing this along to our accessibility team right now.
I'm curious about your first bullet point:
the green saving indicator that constantly pops-up when you are editing a description
Do you mean the green alert that shows when you create a new feature? If not, perhaps you can tell me where you are seeing this?
