Often settings like layouts, terminology, and navigation for parent lines may be purposefully different than workspaces. It would be helpful to drive standards for lines by allowing templates to be applied at those hierarchy levels.
A few examples:
Worksheet custom fields on line level initiatives may reference children from across workspaces. The equation and fields needed for the line would be included in a layout specifically needed for lines vs. workspaces
Terminology may vary based on how strategy is defined at different levels in an organization. e.g.
Business unit, or Division goals may be called "North Stars" whereas workspace goals are unchanged
Business unit, or Division initiatives may be called "Programs" whereas workspace initiatives are unchanged
Agreed with this very much. We have our initiatives and roll-up initiatives (and roll-up roll ups!) and we want to see stats at each Line, Family, Product level however we are unable to do so because the template is applied to all levels so our worksheet custom fields only work for one level before the child references no longer work/apply.
