Ability to set "created by" when adding an idea
I would like the ability to include the "Created by" field in my custom layout for creating a new idea record.
Currently, it defaults to the user inputting the information in Aha, and then it has to be opened in Detail view to be changed. However, when that is updated after the idea is saved, it retains a vote from the user creating the idea.
It would be more streamlined to add this information when the idea is submitted instead of afterwards.
Sorry that we missed this reply! Yes, proxy votes are a perfect solution for what you're doing. It would allow your team to add votes on behalf of customers.
Yes, as support tickets come in we are trying to gather their input but if the idea isn't associated with them they are not subscribed to updates. We are trying to get more people to enter directly into the ideas portal but for now, us entering as them allows them to be notified that the idea was received. These are also mostly our employees and not customers - which is what I thought proxy votes were intended for?
