We'd like to push for additional filtering on integration candidates. Recently, we ran into an issue where a PO accidentally imported an epic that was not within an integrated JIRA project (let's call it JIRA-ABC). The reason was because a story within that epic belonged to a project that we did have integrated, JIRA-DEF. Since the story was the correct issue type in the integrated project, it became a candidate in the Aha! import queue. However, we want to be able to filter out all candidates that live in projects that we don't have set up in Aha. In an ideal scenario, the epic from JIRA-ABC would not have shown up in the queue, voiding all stories within that epic in the list as well.
The solutions proposed include changing our workflow, mapping different issue types to the non-integrated JIRA project epics and creating decoy workspaces in Aha. While these may work, the simplest solution would be to filter out non-integrated epics completely, even if the stories are within integrated projects.
