One item I hate to do is go back an update reports every week with tedious manual steps.
Roadmaps are nice but have two big problems for me:
When the design team adds new Epics/Features I need to go manually add them to the selected things to include in the roadmap.
Related, Generally it would be nice to have more filtering. Can't I just say "include all epics/features that meet this filter criteria" on my Roadmap?
For now, I am reduced to using the Pivot Reports with timeline bars as a replacement for my Roadmap visuals
Thank you for the additional detail. We will monitor feedback on this idea regarding adding filters to the starter roadmap.
I am curious, for an immediate solution for you are you able to create a custom roadmap that provides the details you need for your executive dashboard? This article explains custom roadmaps in more detail. This would help you in a couple ways:
You can add filters to custom roadmaps
You can add custom roadmaps to dashboards, which might help you build the full dashboard you need right inside Aha!
I am able to achieve this via the pivot report since that allows filtering. But the Starter Roadmap view does not allow filtering. Also, it seems I need to constantly keep checking for new epics/features since they are not added to the roadmap automatically.
Thank you for the quick response. Which roadmap would you like to use? Are you able to achieve the view you need by switching your pivot into a custom roadmap?
The biggest filter I want is on a tag. I use tags to highlight activities that should bubble up to an executive dashboard. That works fine in a custom pivot report but not on roadmaps.
Thank you for reaching out. Could you provide some more detail on the type of filter criteria you need? Perhaps you could filter by the 'created date' and 'created by' fields to find new items to review?
